NovoNotes' New Product! Free Mini-App "MIDI Controller"

A new feature is being added to the iOS app "Duo".

🎉 The free MIDI Controller is coming! This mini-app supports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) for nuanced performances and is compatible with a wide range of DAWs. It's perfect for real-time control during live performances and music production in your home studio.

A mini-app is a small application module that provides additional functionality to the iOS app "Duo". "Duo" itself is already available for free on the App Store and comes with the first mini-app, SideRack Server. The MIDI Controller we're introducing now is the second mini-app.

We plan to officially release it in November, and you can join the beta test now via TestFlight.

Technical Specifications

Connection Methods:
- Mac: USB recommended (Wi-Fi also possible)
- Windows: Wi-Fi connection (requires rtpMIDI)

System Requirements:
- Duo App: iOS 16 or later
- MIDI Receiver: Should work on the major versions of Windows and macOS currently in use. Verified versions are macOS 14 and Windows 11. For Windows, you need to install rtpMIDI separately.

About "Duo"

Duo is a companion app that leverages your iOS device for music production on desktop DAWs. It consists of multiple small functional modules called "mini-apps." Following the first mini-app, SideRack Server, the new "MIDI Controller" further enhances its capabilities! We plan to add more mini-apps in the future, and integration between SideRack Server and the MIDI Controller is also in the works.
