Cheers! Great to see another solid update from Apple.

  • Some welcome improvements indeed!

Absolutely! Apple didn't give folks on the beta access to the Quantec plugin's manual. I'm looking forward to how good it sounds once I actually know what i'm doing with it.

  • Another brilliant video mate! I always enjoy your insights and explanations.

I won't lie - everything in this update is amazing, but the Samples Browser is the biggest "game changier" for me personally. No more having to bother with SampleCrate or Files? That's mega! This now-former limitation was the biggest mental obstacle to try and move past for me personally as it slowed down my workflow substantially.

So many big names in EDM genre use Logic Pro on Mac, including my biggest inspo this past summer Paul Van Dyk! I think it's time to finish off producing my current EP in Gadget and start building something in Logic Pro.

Will watch out for that video when you post it.

  • I was just about to purchase a plugin that was similar in functionality and here comes Apple with it for free. Can't wait to try it out on some drums

You're going to like it. The room reflections sound very natural.

I still have my SY85 in almost fully working order, the floppy drive is dead though :sunglasses:
(The TGX-85 expansion for Puresynth doesn't do the hardware any justice, it's a joke in comparison).

It’s actually got a great acoustic piano sample .. As long as you don’t hold it down for too long, lol. Great analog synth sound , String sound and Rhodes sound (rhoadey)..

I like the pad-sounds and part of the sparkle on the original is due to the licensed Aphex Aural Exciter being one of the effects...
...I did sample selected raw-waveforms a while back which are quite handy for creating sounds with QuickSampler or just about any other sampler and now that we can add favorite sample-locations into the Logic Browser it's a real blast!
