I'd really like to get this app but it's stated as iPad3 or above on your sales page. Is there no way I can get it to run on my iPad2?
I just updated my website and app store description regarding that to :
"SpaceVibe recommends iPad3 and newer or iPad Mini 2 and newer on iOS 8.1 for Inter-App Audio."
When iOS 8 first came out, it was very hard to get IAA or Audiobus to work glitch-free on the iPad 2.
I'm not sure why that was the case but SpaceVibe hasn't changed how it manages memory or CPU cycles since it was released and it now works perfectly well on iPad2's running iOS 8.1 and the latest Audiobus.
I may very well remove that recommendation entirely once I get a chance to run more tests on the iPad2 but for now we have to recognize that the iPad2 only has 512mb of ram and a slower processor so that will probably create some issues with more complex Audiobus or IAA setups.
Thanks for the clarification - I don't like IAA and am running iOS7 so would use it via AB. I'm currently able to run resource hungry apps such as Thor and Gadget though Turnado into Garageband, via AB, so if your app is comparable in resources to those then it should be fine. Apps that struggle though include iVCS3, iPulsaret and TC-11 but they are pretty heavyweight things. I'll be upgrading in the future anyway so I'll buy Spacevibe at some point - it's a great app, and I love making noises so right up my street.
No problem. I do think it's going to work just fine for your setup.
If it doesn't then I'll gladly refund you the cost of the app.
Just drop me a pm or support email from my website if you're having trouble.
Cheers
@monzo, i have it working ok on an iPad2, but as @SpaceVibe says, it can cause a few glitches if pushed hard with some effects. During testing I noticed this with things like Tonestack. When I had a quite a few components in the chain there was a lot of glitching. As long as you don't overdo it its just fine.

Great stuff....I feel an app purchase coming on...

Thanks for the confirmation I'm getting glitching with Tonestack with other apps already, so it sounds like Spacevibe will work ok with things like Turnado. I tend to keep my chains to 3 items max anyway.
Time for a bit of Hawkwind-style electronic loveliness later then...
