Using Nanostudio 2 with LP

Whats the best way to record Midi Instruments from NS2 into LP? So far I have synced both apps with Ableton Link and recorded into LP with retrospective recording, but that's not always working as I expected.
Wish really that Midi is coming soon on LP.

    If something isn’t working as expected, please make a screen recording that slowly walks through settings and setup and demonstrates the problem.

    Checked the clip settings again and they were not phase locked.

    Phase-locking isn’t required , btw. Retrospective looping can work fine with free loops, too. The exact settings needed probably depends on the context.
