[Solved!] Can anyone replicate this issue I have with koala sampler?
Hi, just wondering if anyone has a spare minute. If they could test this... I'm in conversation with Paul at Koala and I'm having trouble explaining and getting to the bottom of something.
Get a longer sample like a drone or pad sound.
Set some attack and release
Bounce the sample down.
For me the attack is registered in the new sample but the release just isn't there. The sample remains unchanged at the end.
It's the same if I export the sample.
I'm sure it's a problem with me and not the software... But...
Comments
Without even open and testing I can say that the release part always been pretty poorly implemented but it gets worse the longer the clip.
Ah! I am getting around it by reversing the sample, setting attack and then reversing again after it's been bounced. I'll keep doing that for now then
@Pxlhg Thanks!
Ok I think it's resolved. It's my own dumb way of thinking. The release isn't just an attack in reverse, but it needs some audio after the end point to work. I need to set the end point somewhere before the end of the sample to get some fade out. Now I understand.
