  • That's cool. So any chance of Melodyne on iOS? Meanwhile we have @AutumnRock 's Music Putty (sub)

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/musicputty-vocal-tune/id6444390100

as well as Vocal Tune Studio (one time payment)

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vocal-tune-studio/id1664414521

But Melodyne is definitely the gold standard of audio tuning apps.

I really had to convince him about the potential of melodyne on iOS, but seems sorta interested.

Especially I made the sales pitch of if you can put melodyne on iOS I can double the number of users who use melodyne in five years. If they bring it on iPad.

It’s actually not that hard to do. The number of people I’ve seen using GarageBand to produce music is insane, but they don’t have a good pitch correctional software.

Having Melodyne and just the brand name is enough to bring a lot more developers into the iOS platform. Because that’s currently where iOS is lacking.

Don’t get me wrong. I love MusicPutty. It’s incredible, and the features just keep getting better.

But we need a recognized vocal plugin name in the industry so people can look at apps like MusicPutty a lot more.

Kinda like Toneboosters, and Fabfilter. I bought both. Started with Toneboosters, bought Fabfilter, but I use Toneboosters because it’s multi platform.

Ultimately it’s up to his head office to decide. Here’s hoping the sales pitch worked. But anyways, we won’t know until things change.

  • Spread the good word sir!
