Vext

Vext: to irritate; annoy; provoke.

I found the audio stems for a 5 year old (or there about) audio demo. Original audio clips done in other apps and then finally made into a demo in BM3 some time later not sure when. Finally finished.

Like just posted Clockwork in the Clouds, it regards living with head pains. More about living with the irritation and annoyance of sudden impact pain and how it can make a person come to anger very quickly. Hence, another non easy listening piece with sudden burst of many sounds at once!

Some old apps in this one like DrumJam and Turnado

  • YouTube vids show as viewed if a person views for more than 30 seconds. That means that only 3 people here managed to listen to this for more than 30 seconds lol. That must be my record so far for off-putting music! B)

  • I accept the challenge. I listened to the whole thing as I sipped my first cup of coffee. The backstory is what drew me in. I am all too familiar with the stages of grief. My grief stage was short, transitioning to anger almost immediately. My response to that was to start hoarding guns. I don’t know what I was thinking at the time. In the process I met some wonderful people. They convinced me to channel the anger into something useful. I became a competition shooter. I was pretty good, too. Most important was the camaraderie and sense of belonging that it gave me. A few years ago I started to develop arthritis and it was no longer a safe hobby. I rediscovered music and joined a new team. It’s been great.

Our boys were 11 and 15 when they were taken. We were working on an album of original music. I hope the 5 year old gets the chance to hear what you did with his/her music. Be sure to tell them that their music is now global, and that an old dude in Chicago listened to it and liked it. Peace!

Thanks for listening. I think you slightly misunderstood, as its not written by a five year old, but by myself about 5 years ago. Probably my appalling grammar that led you astray, but yes, it is about dealing with pain, so could be any pain someone has to deal with.

Talking about loss, my other track here is about just before last Christmas when we had to have our dog Tucker put down - still miss the old guy!

Thanks for sharing about what you went through - any tracks you've wriiten about it?

  • I did this about a year ago. After 20 years we decided it was time to let go. We went to one of our favorite family spots, Starved Rock State Park. The graphic is of one of the boys favorite places. St. Louis Canyon. They loved to stand under the waterfall. This is where we scattered their ashes.

Thanks for posting, will listen after tea :)

Wonderfully structured track. Lots of emotion and throughly interesting throughout! Thanks again for sharing your story :)

  • There was a lot going through my head when I did this one. Thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated. I haven’t had tea in a long time. Don’t know why. I guess I’m more of a coffee drinker. Nasty habit I picked up in college. My wife loves tea and just offered to make me a cup. Just took a sip. Good stuff!

It is our local dialect: Tea meaning the main meal of the day :) I'm a coffee drinker too!
