Beautiful and cinematic. ♥
@jo92346 this is extraordinary in every respect. A deeply moving composition and production. Do you have a background in scoring symphonic pieces?
Thank you guys @richardyot @Schmotown
I have a background in writing music, which is the (long delayed) result of hours of torture when I was little with 3 successive sadistic piano teachers that I hated before my parents hired the right one who pushed me towards music theory rather than performing.
Even though they’re kind of grotesque, I feel sorry for them; they don’t stand a chance.
Which orchestra library do you use? Very realistic. How many parts?
Very nice, lushly cinematic music. Constantly changes keeping you guessing where it’s going next. Good stuff very enjoyable :-)
Not so sure about the little critters though
I have been enjoying these orchestral compositions. I mostly close my eyes and listen to the way you arrange things. Don’t really pay much attention to the pictures. I just started working (playing) with something “orchestral”. You have given me a lot of ideas to help me along in the process. I have no “formal” college education in composition, so I just listen to things that I like and copy them. It’s coming along slowly. That’s why I asked how much time you spend.
Sorry to hear that your teachers were so nasty. I was very fortunate to have a wonderful teacher. Her name was Dolores Jacklin. Mom started me on accordion when I was seven, and transitioned me to piano when I could span an octave. Mrs. Jacklin was very nice, but very demanding. I never wanted to disappoint her. She didn’t encourage me to write original music, just to be a good, competent piano player. She was a wonderful lady.
One of your best orchestral compositions, IMO. Have a good Thanksgiving, bro.
Btw, @Paulieworld, my first teacher, Mr. Lisanti, determined that, at age 9, my mom was wasting her money on music lessons for me. A pox on most piano teachers. Fortunately, I had a good classical teacher after that and a wonder in my jazz teacher, Connie Crothers.
I use spitfire bbc orchestra layered with Logic Studio studio strings annd other orchestral patches and a lot of samples of my own.
There are more than 50 tracks, but I always use different tracks for different articulations, it is more efficient to see what is happening.
@Paulieworld @LinearLineman well maybe I was the problem, not the teachers. Autism awareness wasn’t a thing at the time and I was a difficult kid. Still am btw.

Well, the critters. They are what they are. I’m gonna stop using images for my music on YT anyways. It is a waste of my time that adds nothing to the music. Black screen with title will be good enough.
Masterful, you're highly talented Jo!
I use VS for a similar reason. I don’t want to spend a ton of time on making videos and I definitely don’t want to use AI generated images or videos either. VS is just about quick enough that I can get something ‘good enough’ quickly enough that I don’t dread making the next one. I’m reasonably happy with most of them. They’ll do. It’s the music that’s important, not the visuals.
@klownshed I don’t really care for ai or not ai. Whatever gets the job done. It’s jus5 I realized any kind of visual is totally useless unless you have a film maker (and crew and time and money) at hand to make a real video clip.
I will focus more on creating the albums cover art.
The way you use VS is super cool btw. I tried it a long time ago and didn’t really like what I made with it.
Just gets better and better… not even sure what composer it reminds me of such is your unique voice 👌
@GeoTony really appreciate man
