Follow actions

How can I address the same follow actions for the same line or column? I had color groups for each instrument and now I’m loosing too many time addressing follow actions… it’s possible that I can do it in other way? For example: can I address "after stop this clip > play this column"?

Are you asking how to target a row or column from a play action or how to have a follow action for a row or column?

Clip actions don’t have row or columns as direct targets. If you arrange your rows or columns by color, you could target a color to play that row or column. If you create a play group for each row or column, you could target the row or column by targeting the play group. Or you could manually pick the clips in the row or column in the specific clips selector.

Can you explain more about what you mean about losing time addressing follow actions when using colors.

  • Ok! Forgive me for my English it’s not the best but I’m gone try! 🤣 ok, by now I had each color group for an instrument as you can see in the screenshot that I attached before. This way I can control volumes and address different outputs for each of them. So because of that, I can not use color groups…

Right now I’m addressing a follow action for each clip of the first row, after I press play the first clip he will play the other clips of the same column! Now imagine that I have 30 clips in a column, do I have anything’s that when I press play in the first clip, can play that column?

And by the way… can I copy a page?! If yes, where do I got this functionality?!

    I don’t see any screenshot

  • For rows, you can use color as the target of your play action. For columns, you could create a play group for each column.

Are you familiar with Loopy Pro’s play groups?

In the canvas editor, there is a groups mode where you can select clips and make a group. You can then target a group with play and stop commands. Groups can be made mutually exclusive with other groups. They can be set so only one clip in a group can play at a time or all clips play/stop together or the clips can be set to be independent.
