What do you use for shelves?
For those who have accumulated gear, what do you use for shelves and stacking synths and other gear?
I have a couple laptop stands that I use to stack my Novation SL mkiii above my piano, but I also want to add a Launchpad and Launch Control XL, but I'm quickly running out of desk space.
Does anyone use any shelves that actually mount to your desk? I need something that would add some smaller shelves to the front of my desk, but haven't been able to find much yet.
Any recommendations or advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.

I second this. Definition of first world problem, of course, but my home studio is, er, just a little bit overstuffed with gear now, and I’m beginning to seriously think the only real solution is to move to a bigger house, since I can’t see me wanting to stop buying gadgets any time soon.
Ideally, I fancy relocating my workroom to a large conservatory, (I find I really need light and views to feel inspired. Dungeon studios don’t work for me) and locating all the gear in a circle on a large central conference table in it, which might be economically possible for me sometime around 2027… Until then, I have bought cheap self assembly workshop rack shelving, each pack arranged into two half height surfaces next to each other:

And a cheap fold up table of the sort used for wedding receptions etc:

In the meantime, I’ve also seen these racks, which look useful:

(Designed primarily for large keyboards, they sell add on cross pieces, so you can reconfigure a span to hold a variety of small boxes like digitakts, Akai Force, etc)
And I already have two of these on my main workstation desk:

Finally, I’ve just invested in a fistful of WIDI cable-less MIDI jacks in the current Black Friday sales so I can ideally stack gear a bit more coherently, but it all remains a faff in the current repurposed small reception room I’m using. Lack of horizontal space for control surfaces in particular.
I’ve been through a lot of phases on this over the years. When I finally got rid of the big keyboards I didn’t need the X-wing stands anymore. Now, with a few desktop modules of varying sizes, my mounting arrangement is a single large studio desk to which are clamped a couple of articulating swing arms with platforms (the laptop is almost above my head), a little folding stand for the iPad, a raised laptop stand (holding a synth), and a couple of compact adjustable-angle stands. I have a desktop two-tier slanted shelf made for volcas and that kind of thing, but it’s not currently in use.
Shelves are almost all Intermetro, with what remains of the library stuffed into some old-style stackable wooden barrister cases.
Elfa modular shelving changed my life on studio organization. Knowing I can change things as I need to works well for me. They’re angled shoe shelves are perfect for iPads and sound modules.
Amplifiers.
I also use them as furniture.
Pro-Q 3 has plenty of dandy shelves. (Lame joke. I'll see myself out, lol.)
