Compressor choice
So I’m looking at either korvpressor or bleass, to do some drum gluing on the master and even some parallel on the drum bus.
I have magic death eye and rough rider 3 of course, but I’m no compression genius and korv looks very simple to operate.
Its been around a while so im curious if its still recommend or if there’s some other options you all recommend during this amazing time of sales!

I personally recommend Doctor Vibe. You don't need to use the vinyl simulator nor the bit crusher (you can turn both off) if you don't wish. That compressor is unlike anything I've ever used on drums before. I use it on all my busses. It just works.
Oh i have doctor vibe! I mostly use it to lofi and 303 my jams… good call i never thought to really use it just like a normal compressor 🤣 i had a 303 for years and just lofied everything and doc vibe is almost 1:1 translation
I agree 100%. I usually just turn off the vinyl simulator, but I do use the bit reduction on the drum buss and sometimes the bass buss. Never on the instruments. Compressor only on those.

This track has Doctor Vibe on the busses.
That’sa nice mix, the compression sounds real nice n tight. I’ll save my dollars and use the doctor more haha i already abuse it on all my jams, I’ll tone it down a bit for more subtle effects and see how it treats me
Exactly! I rarely need more than 20% compression with Doctor Vibe, and in most cases 10-15 is more than plenty. Save a few bucks mate and try the doctor a bit more.
Doctor Vibe - nice recommendation.
Got it too.
Thank you for that. On sale at mo too
For sure. I have magicdeatheye, , bark filter, aufx push, rr3, and probably others anyway… and i do like the doctor a lot, so ima put him in the surgery room and let him do his thing lol
Also i abuse Woott quite often
Cheers. 🍻 I almost slept on Doctor Vibe when it was first released, because I was like "Oh, not another Lofi plugin. I'm stacked full of those from my 'Winter of Lofi 2022-2023'." But that compressor is chef's kiss.
Good, sounds good mate.
Man, I always forget I have Woott. Then again, Doctor Vibe doesn't smash the shit out of things unless you push the threshold higher than Snoop. 😂
@jwmmakerofmusic 'chefs kiss LOL
Your slang is so funny to my Brit brain
Lol! 😂 Well, one can also say "it's bloody ripper", "absolutely wizard", etc,
Good tip! Playing with Doctor Vibe right now.
