  • The short "intro" is really good, quietly impactful, setting the tone beautifully.
Spoken words in music don’t usually resonate with me, but here they’re woven into the composition seamlessly (except for a few level issue IMHO) and work more like an instrument than a narrative which makes them more effective for my taste. I feel they add an abstract textural layer rather than taking center stage. If the language was completely unintelligible, I think it would elevate the piece even further, enhancing its "eerieness".
That said, this is a fascinating piece.

Thanks - yeah, the levels were a bit hot on the vocal loops. I recorded live and triggered a couple of effects to create the speed changes and slicing but wanted a few snatches without effects. When I ran them pure the volume increased - though I did try to manage it I agree it wasn't so successful. I think I'll revisit it sometime but I've got a few other things in the pipeline...👍

  • Not sure what it is but it sort of grips you and doesn’t let go 🤔👌

  • I do love the experimental side of Ambient, and this was quite excellent to listen to. :) As GeoTony says, grips you and doesn't let go until it's done. Thank you for sharing this. :)

  • Interesting. Has a little bit of a Ken Nordine, Word Jazz, feel. I wonder if that's intentional.
