Thank you so kindly mate.
Musically I prefer the first Logic Pro section but I find it amazing how you flit between DAWs.
I would take months and months to get to grips with anything other than AUM.
Hope you find your ideal solution soon 👍
Thank you so kindly, my friend. Logic Pro was fun for a couple tracks, but honestly it just became too cumbersome with it forgetting the settings of a couple plugins. Wild, because otherwise it'd be a decent replacement for NS2 (especially with "clip automation").
But that said, I've finally settled on sticking mostly with NS2 again. I also like Cubasis 3, but sometimes the automation section gives me an occasional headache (when I try to adjust an automation point, it sometimes scrolls all the way left back to the beginning of the song!). But what @LFS and company have done is monumental with 3.7 and Iconica Sketch. Recently made a holiday piece of music in NS2, and I used Iconica Sketch in it. Perfect sounding Bassoons, Violins, String Basses, and Glockenspiel for that piece.
I like NS2 a lot and would say it’s the easiest DAW I’ve ever used, however, it’s unlikely it’ll ever be updated and no new features added, including IAPs. Who knows what’s going to happen to it over the next few years. If Matt ever came back with NS3 I’d be all over it.
I know it’s still perfectly capable of producing good music as many regularly demonstrate but I think it’s time for me to move on to CB3 for all future work. As Doug from @thesoundtestroom said the other day, it’s got plenty of sounds to make plenty of music. I’ve got all the IAPs for it so it should be more than enough for my needs at least.
