Flux vs Wow & Turnado
So with Flux:FX coming out (soon) and the Sugar Bytes effects app on sale, I wonder of owning all would be over kill. Anyone know more about Flux:FX and how similar it is to the Sugar Bytes apps? Or are they completely different?

Looking at the spec at http://flux.noii.se/ it looks like a cross between Turnado and Effectrix. I didn't know about it until I saw it mentioned on this forum today, so I'm holding off on my potential Effectrix purchase until I can find out a bit more. If the automation sequencer doesn't require an additional app to provide a MIDI clock though then that gives it an instant edge over Effectrix. Maybe it's imminent release has prompted the Sugar Bytes sale...
Only issue for me is if it works on an older iPad.
They are similar, but owning them all would not be overkill if you like that sort of thing. Especially on sale!
Turnado is one of the coolest apps, IMO. Under NDA for Flux:FX, but you can download the manual and check out all the features.
same boat here - I took a look through the Flux manual last night - you can have up to 5 fx used at once if I read right ... how many with Effectrix? The step sequencer is 128 steps on Flux, only 32 with Effectrix. How is the quality of effects with Effectrix? My gut feeling is Flux is going to sound sweeter... But my gut also wonders if Flux will be ios8 only? In which case forget it - I plan on staying with ios7 for several more months.
It won't be iOS 8 only.

I'm guessing that's going to be down to the power of your iPad. I can't run all 8 effects consecutively in Turnado without glitching.
If I didn't have Turnado then I'd still get it as it's a brilliant app. Effectrix....maybe not so essential with Flux:FX around the corner...
More than 5 effects at once sounds like an edge case at best, and I like me some effects piling.
