Sorry, but a mouse is a mouse. They all work basically the same. It's the OS (and to some extent individual app) support for mouse as a "touch" device replacement that's lacking.
The mouse-support is iOS/iPadOS is primarily provided as an accessibility service, heck there's not even a decent precision mouse-pointer just a round blob!
If I need more precision than my fingers give me I'll just use the Apple Pencil instead...
(I mostly use the iPad on the couch or on-the-go and seldom have any devices connected except for an audio-interface or usb-mic at times).
If/when I need a mouse/trackpad and a keyboard I'll just use a real computer instead
Thank you @wim and @Samu. Quite expected answers, unfortunately.
Lest we forget...
Sounds like you're looking for a BT touchpad...
😂
It's the worst 'Identity Crisis' for Apple in ages to be honest...
...as long as iPadOS is the way it is it will never fully replace a real laptop/computer no matter how hard we pretend it will.
A 'Touch Mac' on the other hand would completely destroy the iPad
Perhaps but from the business standpoint makes more sense to have two products and many customers buying both. This is why likely they will keep them in parallel and possibly why we have’s seen a touch screen mac similar to some windows machine.
Personally I don’t mind the way things are going as long as they don’t start breaking things with weird updates.
