A nice departure, I like the middle eastern feel and it has your usual flow/journey with the constantly evolving arrangement. It's a movie score and listening to it definitely evokes a movie that plays in your mind.
Listening on some office PC speakers. Less than ideal, but I can hear the arrangement and attention to detail. I would enjoy following the score as I listen. I will listen again tonight in headphones.
This has a lot of flair and style which I very much enjoy. It could easily be a movie score, this music is a movie. And extremely nice use of instruments to create colors and shift of attention, like when everything stops by the long tambourine shake. Seldom does the tambourine players have the floor, lol. Is that a real player playing the guitar like sound? Sure sounds like a human and not a staffpad generation. Very talented composer/arranger.
@Dav it isn’t a guitar, it’s the guzheng patch in Logic, played on a piano. It is some kind a Chinese zither. All made in Logic Pro.
Tambourine players are underrated imho.
Man that patch sounds good.
By God, that’s Mummy music for sure! You must have had fun making this, Joseph. Keep up the good work.
Sounds great in headphones. I see that Logic Pro is available for iPad on a subscription basis. I might have to upgrade my iPad, but it would be definitely worth it if I could get similar results.
I have been listening to some reviews. Sounds like a mixed bag. I’m wondering if the negative reviews are just people that want AI to do everything for them.
@LinearLineman @richardyot thanks for taking the time to listen nd the kind words.
this one was made on macbook pro. Some of my orchestral work was made in nanostudio, some in logic for ipad. But when I need the big libraries my only option is the MBP.
All DAWs on ipad are basically the same and can do the same, more or less each one misses a crucial feature that is available on the other, like no tempo / time signature track in cubasis, or nanostudio that can't deal with sustain pedals.
I like logic because the projects can mostly jump from ipad to mbp and back.
I don't care for subs. the total of my subs is still nothing compared to smoke and booze.
Sounds amazing @jo92346. I’m also digging the mid-east vibe!
Nice. Big. Spacious. Soundtrack quality piece.
Sweet! If I ever do decide to subscribe to Logic Pro, I can just take up either or both to ease my conscience. 👍🏼😎
Seriously though, I had a listen and am completely blown away. That is an amazing track.
thank you for listening @wim @Mountain_Hamlet
Very cool. Reminds me of Maurice Jarre’s Lawrence of Arabia score at points, so you definitely captured the essence of the desert.
Thanks @michael_m . I haven't watched that movie in a very long time. I must have the OST somewhere, I'll listen to it.
