Does Loopy Pro have Launchkey support?
I've searched for this and found that Loopy has native support for the Novation Launchpad, but what about the Launchkey? (Using the pads to record/launch loops)
I would like to know before I buy, and I would test myself but I did the trial years ago before I had the hardware. Thanks!

You can use any midi controller your device can see with Loopy Pro. Loopy has some extra support for a few Launchpad models and one Akai controller. That extra support doesn’t apply to Launchkeys.
Ok thanks. Any chance of that being added in the future? It would be amazing for the loops to automap to the pads like they do in Ableton and show the corresponding colors, etc. From what I understand, they do on the Launchpad in Loopy.
I'm really impressed with the way Groovebox supports the Launchkey, but sadly none of the other iOS apps seem to give it any love.
We plan to support more devices in the future, but I don’t have any specifics or timeframe to offer.
Sounds good, thanks.
In the meantime, is it pretty easy to map controls of the individual loops?
Extremely.
It is as simple as:
Very nice. I was hoping you would say that, but after using Logic for the past year or so, I didn't want to get my hopes up.
Thanks for the help & info. Definitely gonna buy now, especially with the imminent midi update on the horizon. Cheers!
If you haven't already taken advantage of the free 7-day trial, it's worth it just to be sure.
Aye, unfortunately I burned up the trial a couple years ago when I didn't have decent hardware and was invested in Zenbeats...before the bugs finally drove me away to Logic. I like Logic and the Live Loops work quite well, but the lack of midi mapping is a glaring omission that I can't overlook anymore now that I have a Launchkey, plus a Launchpad coming for Xmas.
That's a very common "issue" in iOS apps because most people just use the touchscreen anyway.
Nonetheless, chances are that some day the MIDI control functionality in Drambo might be extended to allow for more advanced control, including feedback, but I can't give you any date.
Very good point. I adhered strictly to touchscreen controls for years, but my vision isn't what it used to be, especially my depth perception, so errant taps are more frequent these days, especially when live looping, which can be quite disastrous. Pads are much more reliable, and also more desirable for finger drumming, The aftertouch is also another nice bonus you can't get on a touchscreen.
