Anyone using Zoom LiveTrak L6 or L20

edited December 10 in Loopy Pro

I've run into a few people having difficulty configuring their Zoom LiveTraks for use as multi-input interfaces with an iPad or iPhone. I'd love to hear from anyone that is using one of these with iOS to get some insight into how they need to be configured.

I use an L6. For me it is plug and play on the iPad in AUM. I have an iPad Pro with USB C. You have 10 inputs and 4 outputs + the master as input.
For some settings you need a computer with the software. For example, if you want to switch the AUX sends pre/post or the internal recorder from multitrack to 2-track. And if you want to download recording data via USB C cable. If you want to use all inputs on the Mac, you have to set the L6 to 32bit in the Mac's audio midi settings. Otherwise you will only have 2 ins/outs.

Someone gave me a heads up that there are some known issues with this loopback issue but I didn’t find whether there is a solution.

I have also seen that on the iPad, some people see it as 2-in/2-out and others as a 12-in /4-out interface. I wonder if 2 of those 12 inputs is the loopback

  • I also saw the post with the 2 channels somewhere. But I don't think the person ever wrote whether they had found a solution. I never had this problem. I've never used Loopback, so I can't say anything about that.
