I’m still over here basking in elektron digitone 2 greatness!
How much lust can I handle? Sheesh…
As it happens I’ve been having a chuckle to myself wondering how much this would cost had it been a hardware instrument.
Godzuki :P
I get the feeling that because he dropped that video it’s been submitted to Apple. Of course that’s my wishful thinking.
This gives me octatrack vibes with switching scenes or having a/b crossfade for effects (i hope so)
This looks killer. Day one for me.
I wish someone would bring out a midi keyboard with USB C and an audio interface.
Ffs, this is bordering on trolling now with the thread name change, since it’s not out yet
Edit: my heart…
that would actually be pretty nice
Existing products only fall short on the USB connector type?
I'm quite excited for this one! I still use GR-16 and love its creative boosting limitations.
I'll probably end up deleting all the stock sounds in GR-2 and approach it the same way; Designing all sounds from scratch and seeing how far I can push it.
This looks quite impressive. Definitely curious.
I wish more midi controllers had crossfaders.
i wanna manage my expectations here, that crossfader to blend between patterns must be for projects with native GR2 modules and not AUv3 instruments right?
(I know we don't know yet )
yah AUV3 is always nice to see on the box and probably a big plus for moving units but how well it can be supported on a given plugin by plugin basis can bring the party down workflow wise. I imagine some sort of macro pre-setup approach like NS2 may be required.
Seems Patterns should/would be able to host Auv3… One can only imagine automating it.. and Jump, and filters.. will be interesting..
As long as you have enough memory to load both projects AUv3 shouldn’t be a problem
Jim did recommend an M1/M2 processor for optimal performance with GR2, in a Youtube comment a couple weeks ago.
So I only assume there wouldn't be many, if any, limits between native and AU capable featuresets. It's up to the power and the plugin handling
Man I just want the app already
I can totally see myself adopting a JimAudio workflow simply based on how well Poison-202, and Pure Acid play together. I’m most excited for the piano roll. I think this is going to be the gadget piano roll, I’ve been wanting
I really hope you can launch clips from an external midi launchpad controller.
One notable limitation of the GR-16 is that it does not allow for direct mapping of the pads.
Lol! Now I've got a sudden craving to watch some classic Japanese Sci-Fi flicks
Can you recommend one?
Best I can do is half a dozen. But now I’m on the mood for some black and white kurozawa
Have you ever seen Ikiru? It’s not often mentioned as one of his great films, but I think it’s a wonderful film.
It’s out
Sorry forgot the question mark “?”
C’mon I’m doing a public service not letting this thread get buried 😬
It’s been like 3 days
😂
