Moving timeline marker & looping?
A nice simple one for you. I’m trying to get to grips with the sequencer in LP. Every time I try to move the playhead it just throws a strop, dances about like crazy then snaps back to zero. Also when I press the loop icon on and set out how long I want it on the timeline - the playhead just waltzes straight past it when I press play.
How do I move the playhead to where I want? & how do I set the loop points so that it will actually loop?

Can you make a screen recording of the problems you are encountering and post it?
Here we go
I see you are using Loopy as an AU. That makes a big difference. If you have host sync turned on, AUM's timeline is going to determine Loopy's sequencer timeline.
In the App Store version of Loopy Pro, when host sync is on, Loopy Pro strictly adheres to the host timeline. So, Loopy Pro keeps jumping back to 0 because AUM's transport is at time 0. And it ignores the time loop because of AUM's timeline not looping.
Turn off host sync and use Ableton link and you won't have that problem. Loopy Pro and AUM will sync to the same clock but AUM's timeline won't fight with Loopy Pro's.
In the upcoming 2.0, Loopy Pro behaves a bit better in this regard when using host sync.
Ah great - thanks for that. That explains it. I think I made a similar goof a few years ago with another app. 4Pockets multi track maybe, or something like that. Anyway thanks again 👍🏻
