What happened here overnight?
I’m not trying to reignite any arguments but it seems several discussions have been removed since i visited last night with several long term members apparently deciding, or considering, leaving the Forum.
The things i read seemed cordial enough at that point so I’m a bit confused as to why they seem to have been removed?
As was mentioned in one of those discussions, if discussions need to be closed then fair enough but removing them entirely removes context for other things which might happen as a result - very sorry to see those members leave if indeed they have - which surely isn’t ideal?

It was discussed openly in a rather large thread complaining about a thread closure. It didn’t seem at the time it was necessary to say more. But you could be right.
Announcement would be good. I went looking for the censorship thread, and when I couldn't find it in the home section I assumed it was also deleted
Just saying this to register an opinion on this new setup @Michael: personally i think it’s a shame that discussions in the Other category will no longer appear in the general list of new posts. I say this because, personally, i know i won’t get round to deliberately checking what’s been posted in the Other category - the intention may be there, but in reality it’ll be out of sight and out of mind.
It was nice to have that bit of variety in topics appearing on the main page. Some would interest me, some would not but personally i feel the forum will be a lesser place with them hidden away.
And yes, i think an announcement on the main page about this new setup would be wise - the information and discussions which lead to and explain it are…in the Other category! I only realised when i initially posted this discussion and it didn’t appear in the main list and so i went searching.
