JWM - Nostalgia (Soundtrack Music Created in Nanostudio 2)
Lately I've been feeling nostalgic and wistful and wanted to put these feelings to music. This is what I came up with.
The bass is Twin 3, the piano is from that new IAP in Module Pro, the lead synth is Tal U No LX, and the orchestra is from KAPro Orchestral Dreams in Module Pro. I originally used Pure Piano for the piano in the piece, but for whatever reason it crashed in Nanostudio 2. So, I successfully recaptured the intended timbre and feeling via Module Pro. 😂 Guess that new expensive piano IAP wasn't such a waste of money after all (at least for me personally).
All parts were recorded using my new M-Vave SMK-25. (I probably should've figured out how to record the piano part unquantised, but I'll figure that out for my next piece.)
Anyways, cheers and enjoy.

Not gonna lie. The new Iconica pack in Cubasis is really going to help me realise my musical visions. It's amazing.
Gentle bump up. Hope you enjoy. ❤️
Edit: Guess nobody's all that talkative on this one. 😅
@jwmmakerofmusic no link mate! Sorry, just didn't click in the right place.
Not a problem. Here's a link in case the forum's not making the Soundcloud thing show up.

that link thing is getting out of control.
No kidding. Were you and @sch able to give the track a listen at least?
@jwmmakerofmusic Wow! what a gorgeous piece! I could have that on replay for ages. Very curious on how you get along with Iconica. Amazing sounds, but I seem to be getting tripped up on on the whole legato monophonic thing. There's probably a performance / recording learning curve for me in there somewhere.
KaproOrcehstral dreams is one of my favorite Module Add-ins. You made it sound absolutely amazing.
Iconica Sketch definitely has a small learning curve, but it's quickly becoming one of my favourite things on iPad! I haven't made any actual music with it, just mostly messing around with Iconica Sketch using my SMK-25. I may sometime next year get a MIDI controller with more keys, but for now my SMK-25 is great.
Thank you so kindly, my friend. I try. 😅 That's all we can do is try. I really do like the piece I made, but I honestly wish I did a couple things differently in it. Ah well, if I worry too much about the super-microscopic details nobody else would think to worry about whilst listening, I'd never get anything posted to SoundCloud.
No kidding, I remember when I worked on two tracks (one called "Dragon Skies" and the other "Movie Star") back in 2008-2009. Yeah, constantly tooling around with the mixing and mastering in each, taking over a year to consider both of those tracks "completed". 😮💨 And not producing too much else during that time.
The reason is twofold - me trying to master my music as loud as possible (during the peak of the "loudness wars"), and the fact I couldn't afford better vst rompler plugins at the time. iOS really is super economical when it comes to the prices of plugins, including FabFilter's plugins which may seem super expensive in the Appstore but are actually a hella great bargain compared to their desktop counterparts!
Not nostalgic at all… just a lovely piece of music 👌
Lol! Thanks my friend.
