Always Backup Apps?

edited October 2014 in General App Discussion

The aftermath of the iOS 8 scare has me wondering if we should always backup our Apps to our computers. Of course it'd be nice to have a backup due to iOS firmware complications but what about apps being pulled from the store? No, not Flappy Bird, take ReBirth for example. Last year, I believe it was, we could purchase, download, and play ReBirth on our iPhones then Propellerhead pulled that version leaving only one for the iPad. My question is; for the people who bought ReBirth on the iPhone, if you delete it from the springboard will it still be available to re-download from the iTunes cloud or is it gone forever? Call me paranoid but I think I'll be backing up most of my Apps, maybe not all versions but better safe than sorry!

  • If something's good for you, back it up anyways. But I had the previous version of Capo, which is no longer available on the App Store, and it's apparently downloadable from the "Purchased" tab in the App Store app.
