Hi all, is it possible for the projects to start in their saved BPM when auto loaded from an action ? I’ve got it all working but I can only restart in the link tempo.
Update: I’ve now paused clock when idle annd switched off start clock in the action and without another device linked it stops and starts in the saved tempo ok, so is it not possible to with link enabled?

    Just be aware that Act as Master will break proper start/stop synchronization. Loopy will start play immediately but other link clients will start at the next sync cycle after that.

    To preserve proper Link behavior, you can add a set tempo button to each project that sets the correct tempo. Add a load project follow action that triggers that widget and you should be good to go.

    Ah cheers! That’s sorted it out. I’ve recently had to think very hard about how to do what I want to do, we built studios to take on the road back in the day with ataris macs and synths and s950’s I even used to take my modular to gigs.

    If you use the technique I mentioned, you don’t need Act as Master and you preserve normal ableton link start/stop operation so that all link clients start together.
