Uilleann Pipes in ThumbJam
Hey folks, just added another free downloadable instrument in ThumbJam, Uilleann pipes! Go to Sound->Download Samples to get it.
Michael Eskin, the maker of many great bagpipe, concertina, and accordion apps has graciously provided the awesome samples, and it pairs very nicely with his MIDIPipes app, if you want to play it more authentically.

For best results using MIDIPipes as the controller, set transpose to 2 for both chanter and drone, set MIDI channel to 1 for chanter, and 2 for drone. And in TJ, set the MIDI pitch bend range to 2, and set input channel start to 1.
Hope you enjoy it!

Nice. Thank you both!
Superb, I alway loved the Mike Oldfield stuff that featured the pipe player Paddy Maloney, I can feel a folk music video coming on:-)
Nice! Great library of free sounds in TJ and it's nice that you can delete/reinstall them as needed.
Marry me.
Thank you!
Fantastic addition, I have often thought of requesting these pipes as I knew that you already use a few of Michael Eskins samples, I already own midi pipes but I do find I prefer playing the samples in the thumbjam app. Michael also has a very nice midi flute app that allows the playing of any samples in a penny whistle interface but until now it did not have a way to play the uilleann pipes. I am having a good week. many thanks
thx x-time!
Yes, good point about the MIDI Flute app, I find that easier to use personally, because that fingering is simpler. They both let you do the off fingering vibrato that can give you that distinctive authentic expression. Link to MIDI Flute:

They sound fantastic, thank you!
You just keep adding value to this thing! Thank you.
