Animoog updated and midi out......WORKS!(7.12)
Animoog updated to 2.2.3 and so far everything seems stable and midi out works great.IPad Air 7.12 Thanks Moog!

Spent 2 mins with it on Air 2 and had 3 crashes and crackles even after a reboot. Yikes.
And the Air 2 loses again. Still reconsidering on that one and waiting for better results at the very least.
Still has the rate bug they introduced in the most recent couple of versions, where the LFO rate and note travel rate are only correct at an Audiobus buffer size of 256 - which kinda makes it not very useful on older iPads. :-(
Air 2 - iOS 8.1 is a no go here too. :-( I used to love this app, but I have pretty much given up on it now.
I just installed on my Air 2 and played standalone for about 30 min, no crashing, crackles or other noticeable issues...
For those of you having problems with the app, under what conditions are they manifesting themselves?
Using AB: Animoog into Auria. Usually quits as soon as I touch the keyboard. Standalone seems to be OK.
And what about IAA?
At first it didn't seem to work at all with audiobus, even with only system audio in output.
Crashing almost as soon as I touched the keys. Tried all latency settings until, at 128 frames, it appeared to work, albeit with a lot of crackles. Then I switched back to 256 frames and it worked flawlessly, recording into Auria with lots of preset changes in Animoog as well; recorded about two and half minutes before posting here, still running.
edit: iPad Air 2, iOS 8.1
I haven't tried MIDI out though, never purchased that.
I was going to finally update to ios 8.1 until I heard this. I don't want to be without Animoog.
I noted the ongoing issues as well on the Animoog facebook page. Until the LFO bug and rate bug is fixed Animoog continues to be unusable at anything other than an Audiobus buffer size of 256 (read unusable altogether with many patches - at least on older devices where it used to run perfectly at 512).
Does Animoog work ok outside Audiobus on iOS8 and/or Air 2?
Just to be clear, what Derek is talking about is not an iOS 8 only problem, happens with 7.1.2 also.
I'm on iPad air 2 with v 2.2.3 iOS 8.1 using standalone has crashed about 7 times sometimes after crash just pressing a key crashes it immediately then it works for a while
Update 2.2.3
Animoog audio via AB, and virtual midi into and out of MTS (recording midi note on off - haven't tried cc - from Animoog gui into MTS, and sequencing Animoog from MTS) working beautifully - iPad 4, iOS 8.1. Audiobus, Animoog, MTS, fuck yeah.
Air 2 / 8.1 / 2.2.3 -> in AB > Animoog to Auria (or speaker) = epic fail. Juggled buffer sizes, changed up starting orders and tried various swear words (in Chinese and English) but nothing helped.

This is really weird, as no issues are appearing for me on the exact same setup.
I'm not sure if it's relevant, but this is using the on-screen keyboard (no external) and a fresh install (it wasn't on my Air 2 yet, I downloaded after the latest release).
Is there a way to consistently reproduce the key-touching crash that I could test?

same here!
iPad 3 iOS 8.1 up to date everything 512 frames. All good
Im getting crashes every few moments on a brand new Ipad Air 2 w/ 8.1 DAMN
Iphone is also updated
Please , what is the advantage to have midi out from animoog? Thanks

I think it's the only way to capture the tine keyboard.
I use Animoog midi out to control other apps like Sunrizer and ISEM to get incredible layered sounds. Also you can control apps like StepPolyArp to play the arpeggiator. And IMO it's one of the coolest control interfaces on IOS.Hope this helps.
Can you make a video please? I cant imagine those layered things
@Jomazz I'm with @goozoon, would love to see or hear some of your work in progress with this...
I only can use Animoog alone with Audiobus. When i load another app in the input Animoog is muted. WTF! I really love Animoog (especially the patch "Wave Dance" trough AUFX:Space) but it's buggy as hell (with and without Audiobus). IOS 8.1. is such a pain : ~ (
Edit: And i have very often stuck midi notes with Animoog midi out. It's awesome to play (the most expessive touch screen intrument maybe) but i give it up for now. See us with iOS 9
Any news about midi out, please?
midi out is working well on my Air 1 on IOS 7.12 and on my IPod touch 5 on 7.12. However it seems that it's still F'd up for users on 8.1 And at this point judging from all the feedback from people having trouble with 8.1 I would blame Apple and not Moog for releasing an operating system that's hard for the devs to make fixes .And I hope these problems get resolved because I would love to get an Air2 . Just my 2 cents
Midi out works fine for me - Air, 8.1
Can someone make a video please, i cant image what can be done with it?
