Just Axon 3

All the sounds here come from 2 instances of Axon 3.
Each was processed through Magic Blur and Eventide Blackhole.
The “mix” is me riding the faders in AUM.

Comments will be thoroughly scrutinized and much appreciated.

Comments

  • lovely! Would it still have any of the same ambient mood without the 2 effects mentioned? Are the pad type sounds dependent on those?

  • edited December 2024

I like the minimal approach but I have to say it sounds so much more than 2 drum sequencers into 2 plugins.

    So, smart choices.

Blue Mangoo has a plug called AttackSoftener that can "blur" drum hits (any sound) too. I just came to think about it so it's not a suggestion to change your song.

  • Dig this. Well done.

  • Great jam man!!! I love axon 3 and this is a super creative way to use it. Minimal jams are my fav and this one checks the boxes! Subscribed 🙏

  • Thanks @JustinOllman! The pad sounds are almost completely the product of Magic Blur and Blackhole.

  • Thank you @Pxlhg!

As you probably know, Axon 3 is capable of more than just drum sounds. It can really make some lovely melodics.

I adore AttackSoftener and have used it many times.

  • Thanks @offbrands! Much appreciated.

  • @reasOne I thank you very kindly!

  • What a beautiful Soundscape Yvonne. ❤️ I thoroughly enjoyed it so much I had to listen twice!

  • Nice track. I like the depth of feeling here.

He he, I think I wanna turn that around and say - sometimes it makes drum sounds (It is however released with the words: "A drum sequencer that thinks outside the box")😊 It's great.

  • Thank you @jwmmakerofmusic! I’m glad you liked it.

As someone who likes to think outside the box, I agree with you - great, indeed!

  • Thanks for the great ideas!

  • Sounds excellent, really like this

    Thank very much.
It was actually your 2024 top 10 video that inspired me to make it.
    So, thanks again!🙂

  • @rottencat I love the blend of ambience and bleepy bloopyness, of smoothness and texture, of regular pattern and scatteredness. I hope you do more.

    Oh cool!

  • Great stuff! I wish I could get into axon 3 a bit more but it just seems too difficult to hit the buttons on my iPad mini!! Really inspiring tune though!!!

Thanks so much. I agree with you about cumbersome nature of the dials even on my iPad Pro.

sweet track, congrats for being a real one.

i love Axon 3, the most [?????] sequencer ever!

AXXART AND AUDIODAMAGE APPS PLAY REALLY WELL TOGETHER. DO U HAVE BOUNCEBUD?

it would compliment this track. load up 4 different synths like drc/digitilism/nerd/model d~ then change the timing to 1/4, ENABLE 2HUGE BALLS (LIKE IRL) W/COLLISSION and the randomness will compliment it well

  • @ejacul337 thanks for the kind words and the suggestion.

Pardon my ignorance but what does this mean?

And all comments will be scrutinized huh?

Well I’ll say this - great track. What I like is the percussive almost Cajon like clap of the rhythm. The “melodic “ parts are spaced well so they don’t overlap and they don’t leave too much room between. This isn’t my type of music but I think it’s very well done.

How did you get the instances to play together ?

In that comment that puzzled you, the “[?????]” replaces a word that apparently offended someone.

I am not the censor and the first that I knew it was done was when I saw your post.

The 2 instances of Axon are controlled by the clock in AUM.

What I’m asking is also how did you make the melodic stuff as well?

Also what is your main genre?

All the melodics come from two instances of Axon. There are no other sound sources.

Re: the comment, I have heard, via PM, from a forum member who suggests that in the word in question perhaps a “u” was typed where an “r” should have been.

Whatever the case, I appreciate your letting me know about this.

Oh, and, my main genre is, I suppose, ambient…

    and death metal. 🙂
