4Pockets MidiStep question: Can it record keyboard input?
Just got MidiStep and exploring how it works. I kind of expected to be able to use a keyboard to input notes into the sequencer, using input I'd expect for a step sequencer. But I don't see any way to do this, seems all the input is through the touch interface. Is that right?
It seems there's a button at top that controls "Input Midi Note Hold ON/OFF". Not sure what that does, but perhaps it controls whether midi directed into MidiStep is blocked or sent thru. Not sure why you'd send midi into MidiStep at all, though, if it's never being used by MidiStep. . .
Thanks for any clarification/explanation.
Comments
Keyboard input is used for transposition.
Refer to the MidiStep Intro video at 21:41 demonstrating the transposition feature.
There is no step record feature, best place to request that would be posting a comment on Paul’s YT channel with the most recent MasterClass video.
+1 for recording into Midistep.
Thanks.
