is there a roland R8 drum machine app on ios ?

  • I wish there was. And I even own the real thing…

But what I’d really like to see would be a series of modeled drums by GeoShred (moForte), a really good version of Simmons drums by AudioThing or someone else and finally, I really wish every developer would respect standard MIDI drum mapping.

You can’t get a more complete and original Roland drum machine than ZR1 inside of Roland Zenbeats.

I may have the original samples from that machine. I'll check. I'm certain there's a community kit for Patterning also.

While not the autechure heavy R8, Yamaha made something I felt was similar in the RX11, there's an RX11 kit inside FUNkBOx (iaa)

It's a weird situation today, I have the impression that selling stolen samples has become more acceptable than giving stolen samples away for free. And I didn't even mention AI based work that people generate using AI engines that learned from copyrighted work, then they confidently put their own copyright on the resulting "art".

I have it and it’s OK. I’d like to see something better, like this on iPadOS: https://www.alyjameslab.com/alyjameslabvsdsx.html
