Magic Trackpad
Hi,
I have a couple questions about using the Apple Magic Trackpad (USB‑C) with 11" iPad Pro, iPadOS 18.2.
I don't have a prior model trackpad (lightning connection) to compare, so wondering if the behavior is the same or not and what is expected.
Question 1:
When the trackpad has "Tap to Click" set to on in iPad settings and a one shot clip in Loopy Pro has "Hold to Play" set to on, then when tapping the magic trackpad, it plays through the entire one shot, even though I'm tapping quickly, not holding. I'd like to have similar behavior to when tapping on the iPad screen on the one shot, where the one shot stops playing as soon as I release my finger from the screen and lift up from the tap
Question 2:
I have a button with a "Swipe Up" action and when using the magic trackpad, if I have the cursor over the button and two finger swipe up or down on the trackpad nothing happens. If I click and hold on the trackpad button and while holding the button I slide one finger up, then the swipe action happens. I'd like to find a way to use two finger swipe on the magic trackpad to act like when I swipe up on the iPad directly, where my one finger swipe on the button triggers the action
Not sure how this works on prior version(s) of the magic trackpad (the ones with lightning connector), but I do know that this new version of the magic trackpad with usb-c may introduce some changes in its behavior, so that's one reason why I'm asking
Thanks

@danm : Loopy’s gestures apply to onscreen interactions/gestures. Trackpads, I believe, act as mice which is a different thing.
Thanks @espiegel123. The Apple magic trackpad supports similar gestures as the built-in iPad gestures and in fact other apps on the iPad support the external trackpad gestures as expected (ie: hover over and do two-finger swipe on external trackpad is equivalent to one finger swipe directly on iPad), so that's why I'm asking. Also, using an external trackpad really helps with shoulder pain and other ergonomic issues that affect some people
I'll let Michael know about your report. But I can't offer any advice -- as this is the first time that any trackpad related issues have been brought to our attention.
Thanks @espiegel123
