I hate it when _____ (peevishness is ok insulting is not)
This could be posted in other. I’ll let the mods decide.
I hate it when…
I get 3/4 of the way through some sort of composition and i don’t know what to do next for an emotional impact.
AND when my fries are cold

I hate it when...
-I go to Facebook to see how people are doing, and people I'm friends with (family) post petty squabbles over politics. (I'd delete Facebook, but I do keep in touch with clients and family via Messenger.)
-Elon fucked up the block feature on X/Twitter by allowing dramatic people I've blocked to be able to see what few posts I made. (I since deactivated my gaming Twitter. Waste of time anyways.)
-Important apps I use are arbitrarily removed from the Appstore without a logical reason.
-I'm up at 3am and can't fall back asleep. Been up for two hours now and accomplished nothing. 😂 But at least I feel sleepy enough again to fall back asleep.
I just installed their separate Messenger app for this. No feed, just DMs, noice
2-4mg of fast absorbing sublingual THC helped for this. Cant find it again though! Everything I find now is oils that take to looong to digest.
Yeah, sometimes some of my family don't go out of their way to message me, which is why I have to check Facebook main about 1-2 times per week, lol.
I have Delta 9+CBD (10mg each), knocks me right out at first. 😂

For me this sort of thing is to not take it before bed but to take it around 3 or 4am to return to sleep, ussualy just on weekends. Glad I do not have a hard time initially falling asleep.
Uhhh and to not be OT...
I hate that my life is awesome/perfect and I cannot contribute to the heart of this thread. /s
What's crazy is, I used to be able to fall asleep normal. It was until I dealt with this noisy neighbour from hell living directly next to me, where I got maximum 3 hours a sleep per night for 4-5 months, that caused me to fall into a bad sleeping pattern. 😬 And it wasn't like he'd make noise past 10pm but would stop around 11pm. He worked a late second shift, would get home around 2am, and then he'd start making nonstop noise until mid-morning when he finally then fell asleep.
This all culminated in a huge blowout verbal altercation in mid March 2022. A handful of people who were in my inner circle all said I was crazy until I caught part of the verbal altercation on video where those idiots finally understood I was not crazy and not lying! (Yes, he admitted to me he was making noise on purpose to torture me! And I was so nerved up after the verbal altercation that I had resumed vaping nicotine just to steady my nerves.)
The next day, we got a new property manager, I showed her the video, and she evicted the bastard. Thank goodness! But ever since that verbal altercation, I haven't been able to fall asleep well, let alone stay asleep.
And two of those handful of people are no longer in my inner circle. And they can stay out for all I care. Blaming me until there was proof I was not crazy.
Lol! 😂 That's hilarious.
Oh shit @jwmmakerofmusic
thats pretty terrible
Yep. I mean it was three years ago, so I'm long over it emotionally speaking. But yeah, that incident definitely messed with my sleeping patterns.
@jwmmakerofmusic
Oh jeez, yah that is terrible. I had some neighbours from hell too, black out drunk, physically fighting in the halls, screaming slurs against their, uhhh... 'historical cultural opponents' down the hall, holes in walls etc etc Had to call the cops on them and they were being protected by ignorant useless building management who was apparently family and would not evict them. It is no joke how that can mess with your life and mental health. Someone close to me wound up in the hospital from sleepless stress and we moved. Definitely can relate and sorry you had to go through that.
heh, beats bitchin about last month being laid off from my job of seven+ years right before christmas, completely ruining my break and then getting screwed out of a months severance pay on top of that because of some government supported corporate loop holes that just empower the rich and fuck the poor. Yah, I am more stoic than that.
Holy crap mate! Man, at least the f-cker who was next door to me was evictee. Your former building's management sucks more than when my building was between buillding managers.
Bruh, it's better to let it out than hold it in. Man I hope you find a better job where your talents are actually appreciated and not gone to waste/overlooked. I got a friend not from our forum who is in a dead-end engineering job. Instead of being an active engineer designing shit, they got him behind a desk pushing a pencil. Not ideal at all.
I have an ingrained habit of avoiding thinking about things I don't like. Not that I never do, but as soon as I become conscious that I'm doing it, something kicks in and uses just about every tactic it can to turn my thoughts elsewhere. This might be seen as a good thing, but often I think it's excessive and leads to accepting or avoiding a lot of things that I should actually deal with.
Ironically, I spend considerable time visiting my elderly mother-in-law to help her out. She is a pathological complainer. No exaggeration. She's addicted to it. The talks incessantly, and 90% of it is negative. She can turn the smallest negative thing into a 20 minute or more detailed history of related complaints sometimes stretching back up to 50 years or more. I've learned to let it go in one ear and out the other.
The funny (to me) side effect is now, no matter where I am, I see things that would set her off, and I can replay the whole resulting stream of complaints that she would be making word for word. So here I am, the habitual complaint avoider, replaying someone else's habitual complaining. I find it funny. And sad. And weird. 😂
Aww, thanks man, but they are actually a really good company who do respect and appreciated me but that part doesn't fit the theme of the thread, The industry had a MASSIVE crash a couple years ago and 26,000 layoffs happened since then with only a tiny percentage hired back. Mostly due to the bubble of excess that formed during the pandemic because the industry flourished when everything else was locked down. Anywho, I am looking pn the bright side, change is good... no wait, I HATE it when things change, hehe.
I need to learn this. Being around people who are constantly complaining is something I need to learn to deal with in a more constructive way.
I can relate to that. One of my coworkers is known for her negativity and I think everyone who knows her can recite her most common rants word for word. It’s good that you can get past the negativity and help your mother-in-law out.
LOL! Nothing wrong with looking at the bright side afterall. That said, I hate it when...
...my useless brain makes a dumb spelling error, and now the spelling error is forever quoted in this thread. 🤣
I have a bit of the opposite issue. My brain sometimes locks itself on things I don't like, relentlessly, to the point the overthinking drives me crazy. I'd rather shove bad thoughts to the side like as you described here and just deal with shit as it comes rather than worry about "what could or could not happen". 🤷♂️ Ymmv.
And no offense, but your mother-in-law sounds like a typical mother-in-law. 😂 I just hope if I ever do find a "Mrs. Right", her mother will be a sweet, nice lady, and not a crazy person. I'm crazy enough just as myself. 🤪
It was a hard road. Being a problem solver by nature, I tried for years to offer solutions when she would bring up her problems. That led to enormous stress for both of us. Ironically it was a 12-step program for people with loved ones in addiction (not her) and another for co-dependents and their enablers, that caused me to realize there is no one who can help her but herself. Finally being able to internalize that and detach set me free. This is helping with other relationships too.
The "Serenity Prayer" really is magic when I'm able to remind myself that the only one I can change is me.
Hehe, aww, I had a great mother in law. Sweet, nice, thoughtful, fun to hang with, shame she wasn't around very long.
I hate it when people... ...
...ride my tail on the road. Like jeez, get off my car's arse and get a life. 😂
I hate that cars exist! Been a pedestrian all my life with the occasional self propelled two wheeled indulgence.
Yeah, cars are fine for commuting to and from work. It's the entitled idiots who make it more difficult on the road. Especially the low-income sort who drive beaters and don't give a fuck who they irritate or endanger on the road. They drive more like GTA than an actual decent human being. 😂
Speaking of cars…
I hate it when they expand a freeway (US terminology) to alleviate congestion, all the while creating more traffic problems, only to have the completed project do nothing substantial about congestion.
I actually quite enjoy that (despite the risk to my life). I peg the cruise control to exactly the speed limit and think of the torment I'm inflicting on the poor sod just by obeying the law. 😂
If I'm in the fast lane on a two lane road, I make sure I'm going just a little bit faster than the car in the next lane and take my sweet time to get in front of them before moving over.
Stupid, and I'll probably get shot or run off the road some day, but in the meantime it's kinda fun.
Especially when they finally finish a three year project that should have been done in six months ... and then within a year start "phase 2" in the same place. That literally happened more than once near where I used to live.
LOL! If I ride the fast lane, I go faster. But if I'm in the slow lane, I will go near the speed limit. Man, a lot of people are such jerks these days it's crazy. 😂 But yeah, going the speed limit to piss off the person behind you is hilarious.
I go faster, but only by enough to be going faster than the car next to me in the slower lane. 😉
The speed difference is proportional to how close they're riding my butt. If they're at a reasonably respectful distance then I always speed up and let 'em by.
I'm having fun right now thinking of all the people who're reading this grinding their teeth at "that guy" (me).
Me, I'm laughing along with you. 😂
I hate it when Netflix show is full of woke agenda which isn't helping the story in any way or even makes no sense in context of store, when it is totally not necessary, and it is there just to fulfill leftist woke requirements...
No seriously.. too much shows totally destroyed by unnecessary woke-ness on Netflix ..
Absolutely !! This is just utter nonsense, makes "block" feature useless !
Well, it feels like this is literally only reason why people use Facebook. Plus posting kids and cats photos :-D
Literally happened to me today ! After hour of failing attempts, i just ran some random boring Netflix show an in deep sleep under 5 minutes :-D
