I have no issues with the workflow, it works well. It is pushing the iOS boundaries big time, so I can accept things like the choppy edit screen (although it usually is fine on my air). I don't really use auria very much as a creation platform though, I use it to mix. My music that people hear is tracked with a live band on reaper, then moved to auria for mixing. However, with our new album someone else is doing some mixing on whatever platform he uses because my time is limited right now. I will be mixing some of it using auria though.
My iOS creating is for my own enjoyment and is usually bad attempts at dance music, or sketches if songs I'm writing in GarageBand to later present to the band.
Auria occasionally goes on sale, the plug-ins rarely go on sale. I bought it for $25 U.S. (1/2 off) a few months back. That was a pretty big risk on iPad2, but it does work with some handholding, and I figured it I would eventually have to upgrade and it would run better on faster hardware.
As it turns out, I LOVED Auria, but have basically set it aside in favor of the much more efficient MultiTrackStudio. I don't regret the purchase however, and for audio editing and effects it is superior - I hope to use it more in the future, especially for guitar recordings.
I already had Turnado and WOW, so you get the Auria plugins for them without having to buy them separately. I bought THM Overloud (the guitar amp plugin), which I actually think is underrated for its simplicity and solid tone.
Other than that, I would love buy more of them, expensive of they are, but it would just be a sunk cost for me right now. My iPad can't handle running multiple tracks or sometime even a single track with heavy effects. But for any of the newer iPads, Auria is great for Audio (not MIDI) recording.

Ok if that's it no problemo! I'd be using it with AB driving apps with Thesys and Lemur. I'm not fussed about midi at all, read it will be an IAP anyway.
@mrufino1I'd like to do something similar, import tracks from my desktop but i'll need to sort out an interface. I forgot i've read about an undo stop playback issue with Cubasis that sounds like far more of a workflow killer than lack of midi in Auria for me anyway.
@StormJH1 yeah i thought it would be worthwhile just for the fx, run mixdowns through it to add some spit and polish. I was looking at the sugarbytes fx plugins, already bought Thesys but setting up Effectrix to performa and record was a sticking point but looks like you can do both with Auria, assuming i can route in apps from audiobus and process the incoming audio?
