"Sequencer" is a very broad term.

What kind of sequencer? Drums? Melodic? Generative? Aleatoric (new word I learned this month 😎)? Euclidean? Piano Roll? Groove-box style? Multi-purpose? ...

    I figured "Drums" covered that.

  • Depends on what you want to do. For drums I like Octacrohn or maybe I directly use DigiStix 2, with the obligatory Auto Fills because fills are essential.
Harmonicc for chord progressions, or maybe 4Pockets Progressions, or Helium or Atom 2.
As a step sequencer, MidiStep is the best, but you can achieve great simple results with PolyBud or similar apps by Cem.
    Cykle is great too.
And, if you have the time to pre-program it, Senode gives off some interesting results.

  • NS2. An amazing sequencer (and a whole lot more). Superb UI even on a small iPhone screen.

  • my top-4:
    1) Drambo
    2) Drambo
    3) BAM
    4) MidiStep

disclaimer: it's strongly biased because i love step sequencers and don't like piano rolls.

Sorry but you mentioned Drambo only twice
