Sounds from my K2000
After seeing the recent thread mentioning the K2000 I dug out some old audio files I made using the one I had for 10+ years in the ’90s. It was the rack mounted version with sampler that I loved dearly.
As they say, it was V.A.S.T. and I was especially interested in the sampling.
So I thought I’d trot out this track and to keep it relevant to the forum I added some effects in Cubasis including ChowMultiTool, Koshiba, Replicant 3 and Cascade.

Really enjoyed this! Lots of great sounds combined in an exciting composition that kept me listening… a few times. I like the use of conflicting rhythms and the wide dynamic range. At 3:30 there was a bit that I rewound a few times. Very cool effect. Very cool track.
Thanks! I was hoping you'd listen; it seemed to be in your wheelhouse. I think those conflicting rhythms you mentioned were created when I ran my old file through Replicant and Koshiba.
Love the sounds in this. Nice work.
Thanks very much!
Wouldn’t be out of place as a soundtrack behind two battling superheroes. I like the contrast between the unnatural drums and the human voices. And I’m amazed how you’ve created so much energy and motion with the effects you mention.
Thank you sir! uh oh, Now you're tempting me to resurrect some more old K2000 tracks. I guess that was 'youthful' energy back in the day.
Great drums, cool track 👌
