The Chase : An AI EDM Cyberpunk video

Trying to learn how to match different styles of music to my videos.

I still prefer to work with people over AI generated music and hope to have a few more collaborations with some of the talented people here.

In the meantime I will spending a little more time in spaces dedicated to AI videos. I know some people here don't care for anything AI generated and I respect that.

Without this forum I would never have started a YouTube channel.

Some of you may remember @iOSTRAKON . He posted a playlist for people who made music videos and asked anyone who made them to add to it. I had never tried to make a music video but since I had some experience with editing and making music I figured,"Why not?"

Since then so many people here have been supportive and a few have subscribed, helping me grow. I'm still just a small channel but I wouldn't be where I am now without the people here, so thank you all so much.

This isn't a "goodbye" post. I'll still be around and part of the community. I just realized I'm probably better at making videos than music. I should be putting more effort into it. It feels like promoting the channel on social media is becoming a full time job.

Thanks again for watching.

  • i have enjoyed watching your videos and seeing your progress. you have inspired me to try my hand at ai music videos. have you any online resources or forums that a complete beginner would benefit from as a starting point?

  • Thank you @JodorowskyV

If you are just starting out you can try some of the free tiers at different video generation services.

    https://www.vidu.com/
    https://www.klingai.com/
    https://hailuoai.video/

You can use any image you like with image to video. I typically use image to video and generate the images locally on my PC but many people use Midjourney images.

    https://www.midjourney.com/home

    Others use mage.space

    https://www.mage.space/

Or you can just start with text to image and generate a scene from a prompt. If you like the video it generates, take a screenshot of a frame from the video and use that as your image to do image to video generation.

Depending on the service you use, there are different options. Vidu has a Reference to Video option that makes character consistentency much easier

Other services like Runway provide lip syncing tools, video to video and more. But it can get expensive.

I am fortunately in the Vidu Creative Partner Program so I can earn credits to make longer videos.

As far as other places online to learn more, most generation services have a discord server for members. Vidu has one that has quite a few helpful people that answer questions. I would be surprised if other services weren't the same.

Best of luck to you. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. If I can help, I will.

  • Thanks, @MadeofWax. i’ll check those out. glad to know there are some free options out there while i try my hand at this.

  • @JodorowskyV

You won't get much on the free tiers. Your wait times will be longer than a paid tier and the results will likely have a watermark. But if you want to figure out if it's worth it I would say that's the best way.

  • Nice piece… too short. It’s a shame that you’re not valued for your creativity here as much as you should be. I will try to keep up with your other channels 🙏

  • Thanks @GeoTony ,

    I always appreciate your feedback.
I don't think I can ever totally abandon this place. If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have a YouTube channel.

I miss @LinearLineman and @Svetlovska and @iOSTRAKON and @Daveypoo and many more who have either moved on or just don't post creations anymore. But I guess nothing stays the same forever.

I also understand that AI stuff is divisive. Some people just don't want to see it, hear it, or think about it. I'm just using the tools that give me the ability to tell stories.

If some here don't t appreciate it, like they saying goes, "you can't please everyone"

Thanks again for watching and listening and taking the time to comment.
    It means a lot 😁

  • I always appreciate a shout-out @MadeofWax Good luck with your video creations - interests ebb and flow, so go with where your inspiration is. As personal interests wax and wane, so does this forum. Hope to see you around here from time to time 😁👍

  • Thanks @Daveypoo

Good to see you again. You’re right. Interests ebb and flow.

I guess we all have moments of nostalgia, missing the good old days.
When I first really got into iOS music was during the pandemic . I remember watching your channel and The Sound Test Room, Jakob Haq, and later discovering people like Gavinski and Jamie Mallender and MobileMusicPro and so many others.

Finding this forum because every time I googled an iOS question, I would end up HERE.

Realizing there were some really interesting people here with amazing knowledge and talent.
Still plenty of people like that here. But I miss some of the old ones.

Best to you in all you do.
