I would go with something like BA-1 and Alteza or Blackhole as reverb. But many other synth would do probably (Synthmaster 2 for example).
Arturia iProphet or Synthmaster 2
Korg iM1
Zeeon is especially good at this kind of sounds. It sounds like the BigSky adds a pitch shifted (1 octave up) reverb on top.
For the reverb, you'll want one with a "shimmer" section. "Shimmer" is how you can get a reverb pitched up an octave (or down an octave or any interval you desire). I'm unsure if Blackhole can do that to be honest (despite it being a really fantastic reverb for Ambient!), but Eventide has Blackhole Reverb, Shimmer Verb (the one you'll most likely want), MangledVerb, and Spring Reverb, all in a bundle. I recommend you get the bundle since each reverb has its own specialty. You can even mix and match.
As far as other reverbs go, Bleass Shimmer and FAC Alteza also have a "shimmer" section, where FAC Alteza has reverb tails that can last for minutes. Bleass Shimmer sounds a bit more "clean" and "digital" and "modern" (if that makes any sense, lol). Also ToneBoosters' reverb has a shimmer section as well and is a decent all-rounder reverb. FabFilter Pro-R2 is one of my favourite reverbs, but that lacks a shimmer section afaik (maybe I just didn't discover it yet).
For the synth itself, I recommend Zeeon for your subtractive VA synth. Synthmaster 2 is really amazing, but Synthmaster 3 should be released to iOS sometime this year, so best to wait on that. I also like FabFilter Twin 3, but it definitely is pricey.
All that said, hope you find what you're looking for for your worship services. In case you need a demo, just let me know, and I can slap one together in Cubasis no sweat.
If I may recommend Pure Synth Platinum

While the company name on Apple is
MIDIculous, any search (and even the thumbnails on the apps store page) show the company name as Gospel Musicians
Great meditative and worship based sound beds and the Creatmosphere iap adds some stellar reverb/fx for a more than decent all-in-one package
Zeeon for the synth (maybe get the 80s preset pack, which I love). For the BigSky reverb, see https://forum.loopypro.com/discussion/48724/what-s-the-closest-ios-equivalent-of-the-bigsky-reverb-pedal.
@joseph
Here's an example of what I meant mate. I used Zeeon for the big pads and added Eventide's Blackhole Reverb followed by Eventide's ShimmerVerb. (The guitar was a simple HALion patch in Cubasis 3, and I applied only Blackhole to that since I wanted the pads to be the "star" of the piece.)
So yeah, Zeeon for the synth, and Eventide reverbs for the reverb example you provided. (Of course in the other thread @dokwok2 mentioned, Stratosphere Cloud Reverb is the best for the cloud reverb algorithm of the BigSky petal. I'd recommend that one too to be honest! When it comes to Ambient, there's no shortage of different flavours of reverb.)
Sounds really good! I find shimmer verbs to be a bit of a one-trick pony... cool but it's easy to overuse and sound samey. I prefer multi-tap delays such as the UltraTap Delay which has a lot more variety and depth.
Thanks mate. Yeah, shimmer verbs can tend to be samey, but always useful to have in the production toolbox whenever a situation may call for it. Regarding delays, I love Timeless 3 and Bleass Delay. Timeless 3 moreso, but both have the ability to pitch shift the taps.
Thank you all for those great suggestions!
