GSI Piano Update - 40 GB of content available now but no external storage?

Looks like GSI Piano edition got an update and can now download more sound content. I don't have the app (yet), and am considering it, and not planning to download every single instrument, but I've only got about 15 GB of storage left (out of 256 GB), and it doesn't appear to have an external storage option, so it's a tough call for me.

I use Just Piano by GSI. It gives you access to all of the piano models from GSI (and says when new are added to GSI they will be available in Just Piano). You can pick a piano, download and use but can only select a single piano at a time. To use another, you uninstall and reinstall and select another piano.

Haven't had any issues with it and it goes for as little as £10 on sale.

Excellent info. It shows USD $11.99 for me, so that's not bad at all, and USD $24.99 for the Genuine Sounds Vol1 Piano Edition. I definitely have some more options to consider. Thank you 👍

Yeah, when I was looking at Piano apps there seemed to be 3 tiers - physical modelled, high quality sampled or lower quality sampled.

    1. Pianoteq

Physical modelled so no massive storage footprint. High quality but expensive to get a single sound and to expand.

    1. The high quality sampled pianos - Ravenscroft, Pure Piano, Pure Piano Upright, GSI, Just Piano

High quality multi sampled pianos in all the apps. From my assessment, Ravenscroft and GSI get the best reviews. As Just Piano is just a single GSI sample set at a time, it proved to be the cheapest option for accessing a high quality sample set piano. Due to only installing a single piano it was perfect for me as I wanted small footprint and minimal faffing. The app has minimal distractions for me and just does the job of being a piano. I haven't found the need to change sample sets - it has done every job I've needed it for fine.
