Rhapsody One
This started as a piano solo using Pure Piano and several Piano Motifs. It wasn’t going anywhere, so I started adding random, unrelated parts just to see what would happen. It’s a strange song with a surprise ending.

Been away from the forum too long. Can’t believe this little gem got buried without any comments. Reminds me how much your music has a feeling of familiarity without feeling repetitive. Immediately recognize the vibe, but I’m always surprised by where you go.
Hope you and yours are well.

Very nice @Paulieworld. Liked the mix of tension and respite and their transitions. Some cool percussion sequences and string arrangements there.
I missed this one somehow. Cool little track. Love how you stack sounds.
Me, too. Like I said, I’m in a bit of a slump lately. I just forced this one. The music is weird, but I think the mix turned out okay. We’re doing fine. Nothing special, but no surprises. No news is good news! Best wishes to all of you.
Thank you, my friend! I have often wondered… when you hear something created with Piano Motifs, do you recognize the accompaniment styles? Thanks for listening. Have a great day!
Thanks, Dav! As Monty Python would say… I was just putting things on top of other things. Really enjoyed your last track. That trumpet sounds wonderful. Beautiful tone and control. You have been doing this for a long time and it shows.
Always surprised by your sound combinations. Not sure if the ending was any more surprising than two bars into it. You made me dig out Piano Motifs which I had neglected. I think I'll slowly keep trying with it; not used to the work flow.
That’s a great question. For basic accompaniments, I can sort of tell. For more elaborate ones, probably not.
Nice work Paul, great use of PM, I would have struggled to detect it if you hadn’t said. Enjoyed the percussion 🙏
