GROOVE RIDER 2 - I Downloaded & Installed Over 2000 SoundFonts - What Was I Thinking

That Ultimate Soundfont Bank was enough for me. After that, I decided I was done searching. It took me a couple of days to go through that alone and pull out 17 libraries worth a second listen. I think I'll just stick with AudioLayer auv3.

  • I thought I felt a disturbance in the force. Glad to know I wasn’t imagining things.
But really 2000? What the font…?

  • @pedro 😂🤣 I did go overboard, but I think I’ll keep them in there anyway.
I’ll probably spend a bit of time deleting the bad ones but they’re mostly small files anyway.
I do like them though, it’s a bit hit and miss but auditioning them isn’t too bad.

  • Thanks for the links Doug.

  • Excellent links Doug. :) I'm glad you also like the DSK Music soundfonts. Those really are all the soundfonts I need.

  • Thanks for the links and video Doug. Was anyone able to import the Proteus banks? I'm getting a "0 banks imported" message after I try. They work on my desktop though

  • The thing that currently bugs me about GRII's is its very basic support for SF2 (missing loop-points, no layering, no envelopes etc.) so I tend to use KQ Sampei instead when SF2s are needed.

The best way to 'batch import' SF2's into GRII is to drop them in the SoundFonts folder in the GRII folder instead of using the Import function.

Yep, I agree. Just use the Files app and 'Move' them from there.

These didn’t work for me in AudioLayer - no sound. I’d be interested to know if anyone has tried with KQ Sampei?
