Unstable forum lately?
Randomly getting dark mode for some pages.
Often seeing some name as last poster, although when entering the thread there is no such last post.
Some other recent glitches I can't remember atm.

The forum is totally out of sync when you're not logged in too. If I'm logged out the site is a couple of hours out of date at least.
For example:
Forum front page logged in:
Most recent post 10:44 am.
Log out and you get this:
Most recent post 8:49 am.

I had a couple of host timeouts over the past week. The page usually was not responsive, or I got an error from the forums CDN (Cloudflare) that it cannot reach the host.
Its been VERY slow here and not its usual speedy self?
Very slow speed with VPN, takes ages to load pages, have to turn it off to make it better. Never had this issue with the old forum. Interesting thing is that I only have this issue with the iPad, not my iPhone.
That explains some - I tend to visit as logged out, unless I plan to write anything. Seeing this out of sync front page lately, hence my original post.
The caching change was made to fix the slowdown in response. It seems to have worked. But it will certainly affect the experience of non-logged-in users.

Yeah, regularly timing out here in the UK, unusable sometimes.
Michael's trying to figure it out. Being intermittent, it's the worst kind of problem to solve. As soon as you try to look into it the problem disappears until you're sleeping or otherwise unable to check.

Not sure if it’s related, but when I click on a notification that someone has mentioned me, instead of going to the post I get sent to the bottom of that page (below the last post).
Only noticed it in Safari on iPhone so far.
@Michael - people have been mentioning this the past few days, shortly after you made one of the tweaks that seemed to help with the slowdowns for awhile.
Ah. That'll be Cloudflare's Rocket Loader, which messes with the Javascript to make the page load faster. Guess it's interfering with something in Vanilla. I'll disable it.
Not remembering dark mode when logged out is surprisingly unpleasant
I used to be able to auto log in on my iPhone but now every time I go to open the forum recently I get the Howdy Stranger and light theme presented to me. I always stay in the dark theme as it’s better to read from. Weird ! It might be a I cab mobile browser thing. It’s fine in Google.
I think we're all a little unstable.
I stay logged in using iCabMobile on iPad. iCab had a huge update recently, so you may need to review your settings. You may have a little too much privacy.
