Adding a new channel color (column) to mixer

Hi,
Had a project with 7 color channels (columns) in my mixer. Each vert col is a single color.

Is the quickest way to add a new channel (with new color), to:
a) From Mixer, do "Add Color"
b) Go into Edit Mode and move the button widgets (that I had off to the right side of my clips) over to the right a bit to make room for another column of audio clips
c) Add an audio clip to the canvas, then move that audio clip to the new color channel mixer column
d) copy/paste that audio clip for each play group/row that I have (currently 6), so that I have 6 new audio clips of the same (new) color in this new channel

Is there a better/quicker way? Any way to have the "Add Color" from step (a) just populate vertically with clips of that color by default?

Thanks

  • @danm : there are 2 ways to add a new color. Add Color to the mixer. Or go into edit mode and go to the color mode and press +

To create a a new column of clips, copy/paste an existing column. Go into edit mode. Go to the color mode (the paint bucket). Add your color. Drag your finger along the column of clips to change.

  • Aha! Never noticed the paint bucket...Thanks
