Return - Jim Audio Groove Rider 2 Old School Rave
Here's a clip-based rave techno I made on GR-2. Takes me back to raving days in the 90s.
- Built-in supported Pure Acid drums and Poison
- Pure Acid AU for acid sequence
- King of Bass AU
Recorded it in AUM while playing the clips live and did a little mastering in Logic:
Here's the screen recording of it. The audio is unmastered from the screen recording. The last 1.5 mins shows what I used:
Thank you Jim Audio for giving us yet another great app! Puts some of the corporate giants to shame.
Hope you enjoy it. I appreciate your feedback.
I know it's coming but I can't wait for better midi mapping and LaunchPad Pro support.

Hey! Nice track. Really liked it.
Nice classic Rave tune!
@robosardine @jwmmakerofmusic Thank you!
Love it! Great Pure Acid line...
Thank you @PJH2000! Glad you liked it.
I had fun making it but a couple of small changes would make things better:
I wonder if others have ran into the clip volume automation issue. I’m gonna send these enhancement requests to Jim.
Clip automation and song automation are independent. The automation will be recorded in the mode you’re currently in, Clip or Song.
Where I experienced this is automation across clips in a single vertical track of clips for a specific part. Not in song mode. Frankly I don’t know if this is a bug or a feature. I’ll make a video of what’s happening and will post to the GR-2 thread.
