Mute buttons do not work while recording a sequence

What I mean by this is I set up a mute button that muted multiple loops and I assumed I would be able to record the mute switching on and off while performing into a sequence, using the SEQ window. Perhaps this is not possible or I am missing something. I looked around and I did not see anyone having this problem. Please help!

    Automation recording such as that isn't supported yet.

    Play/stop of loops is recorded when sequence recording but not mute/unmute

    Automation recording is planned for the future.

    In the upcoming version, one can accomplish something like automation recording with midi recording of midi bindings though…not as nice as true automation recording but still useful.
