Audioshare question - is this supposed to do anything?

Hi everyone.

Does anybody know what this button is supposed to do and if it is supposed to work?

Because all it does for me is crash the app…

  • It’s quite old fashioned. It was for copying and pasting audio files. I don’t think there is any real need for it now. AudioCopy - there’s a blast from the past. You are not missing out on anything.
Here’s the icon that opens up.

  • You might need the free AudioCopy app installed to make it work:

I still use Audiocopy all of the time to get samples into other apps like Fieldscaper and Samplr. Still very relevant and useful.

It is still useful to be be able to create a file from midi or audio data that is in the clipboard.

@Mountain_Hamlet ::it isn't crashing for me. You might want to send a crashlog to @j_liljedahl

  • Shows you what I know @setAI @espiegel123 🤗 mine is well covered in dust.
Anyone remember this thread? Man…. how quickly time passes.

I trim and normalise all my samples in Audioshare, it’s quick and easy.

Yes AudioShare is in daily constant use for me as well - it’s just this particular part that was being queried.

  • Thank you @robosardine @Simon @setAI @espiegel123 @rapidfire for your replies.

I actually have Audiocopy, just hadn’t installed it on the new iPad. It’s been a while since I used it for anything. Works a treat now.

  • I should remove that old AudioCopy3 support. We only need the general pasteboard, which is still useful as copy-paste has always been, regardless of what kind of data is on the pasteboard (text, images, audio, midi, etc..)

Or at least stop it from disappearing into the void if you don’t have Audiocopy installed on the system as it appears as if people are still using it.
