Sampling into Koala
Hi,
Is it possible to route sounds from Relic Flow (or other AUv3s) into Koala sampler using Loopy Pro? I want to record the sounds to Koalas pads to chop them up and manipulate further.
Thanks!

Sure, you can insert Koala on Loopy Pro’s FX return bus.
I tried to figure out how, but can't make it work. Could you make a short step by step?
Hold to Record
in settings.Auto trim on record
can be helpful, but it only trims from the front of the sample. Thanks! I came this far a few minutes ago but then couldn't figure out how to play the pads in Koala. Is it a bug?
Ahh. Note that as an FX, Koala goes IDLE if there's no audio input. Long press IDLE at the top-right of the Koala window, and disable
Idle Mode
. Ha, ha, that one caught me off-guard too. This worked!! Thanks a lot! I guess I'm going to have a lot of fun now 🤪
Oh - thank you! I was wondering why that was happening, too! I thought it was a bug. Save me some time with that!
Oh! I'll have to try this! I have it as an fx on a standalone color onto which I copy whatever loops, then resample from that -- only issue is I currently have to have that color playing and turn off monitoring to hear the samples
This might be the key step I'm looking for!! (Cause I certainly have never long pressed the on/off button of a plugin window to this point)
Many thanks for pointing this out!
Post a picture of Loopy’s extended mixer. I am not quite understanding.
The problem is solved. It was only that Koala was going idle as soon as there was no more audio input, so tapping its pads wasn't making any sound. Idle just needed to be disabled.
