Bluetooth Options.
Seems like its lacking for me.
I cant get a widi uhost to make a launchpad x bluetooth.
I cant also transmit bluetooth from an ipad to another, for another setup.
Iv updated both the uhost and launchpad firmware.
Iv tried advertising aum to aum for the instead, ipad to ipad setup ( although I will use Drambo )
Comments
That should work. It should work with Drambo too. You use Peripherl on one device to advertise and Central on the other to connect. Don't try to use the Uhost for that kind of connection. You don't need it.
I can't help you for the launchpad x. I think remember there being an issue with not being able to use the two separate ports it publishes with the Wi-Di devices.
Thanks.
Not essential now but still need to try using an ipad screen to control another.
Wasnt sure if Drambo had advertising.
Will try again.
Drambo doesn't have advertising. So yeh, you need AUM or something like Midimittr to initially set up the connection. After that the connection should work until you shut own all the apps that are using it.
Thanks wim.
Appreciate advice.
Launchpad X Bluetooth -
Is the iPad seeing the WiDi adapter and connecting to that at all?
If yes then here's a very hobbiest explanation of LPX and BT from my past year of discovery
Launchpad X has 2 midi i/os that run separately thru the USB cable. MIDI i/o, DAW i/o
MIDI is Note and Custom - midi control
DAW syncs to the Daw and also custom User feedback, like Prism sequencer and previewed in dRambo
Midi Bluetooth only sends one of those i/os. Most do MIDI, but another user noted only getting DAW from a WiDi UHost PRE UPDATE. After update, it was only MIDI
As of now, MIDI is why I use the X. But I want to try and use an Arduino to separate the output from the X to two USB cables for two adapters... Or maybe using one wifi adapter and the builtin WiFi of the Arduino.... But that's WAAAAY down the line
