  • Amazing. Maybe we can get Imogen into NS2 next!… 😎

  • Saw this on discord. Great news.

  • Great! I remember seeing Imogen had made a very generous donation to the GoFundMe when Tim had cancer, hopefully this will be one of those rare 'good takeovers'

  • That is great news. I wonder if there will be any new features in the future. I’ll be giving it my support. It sound like a modest subscription might be involved?

  • Cool, I thought this was really quite innovative and I enjoyed many sessions with friends of all musical abilities !

Fart noises and giggles could easily evolve into something pretty musical too or vice versa ..

  • Wicked. Those are some really good fx. I ask that u possibly release a suite of just the effects that we can purchase?

  • Best news I’ve read for ages. I am so happy this collaborative and unique app will exist again. Congrats!

  • I definitely want to try out Endlesss. I'm excited. :)

  • Really great news. I liked endless a lot. Cool tool.

Id heard of Endless a little bit before the shutdown (looking for online collab potential), but didn't give it much thought... Since it shut down lol

This is exciting! I REALLY don't want to focus any learning on a new daw environment (working on learning so much currently), but for quick jams... And potentially working with some of y'all in a real time setup?

...hot damn... Might gonna give a solo run to see if it clicks quick enough to my brain, or if I'd have a slog getting going

Thanks so much for letting us know!

  • What IS “Endless” exactly? Like a collaborative app?

Yes, a collaborative looper. I spent 99% of my time using it as a solo looper though. I kind of fell out of it though as the export / export management side was a bit weak. A cool dude on a discord (ishani, I think) made a tool that helped with this a ton. Not sure if it will still work post relaunch though and i only just found out about it when endlesss was, uh ending. Bit of a shame as I would have used it a ton more if I had that handy exporter earlier. But yah hopefully when the dust settles there are gooderer export options.

Export options are definitely crucial. Hoping the new Endlesss has that. Also can't wait to try collaboration with you lot. :)

It does have export options but just the filenames were terrible from the native app.

  • Very happy about this.
If you want to export to a desktop computer, you can just load the vst version of endlesss in your daw of choice and have your projects just like they were on your mobile device. So convenient, I actually used that feature :).

  • It was by far the most fun, intuitive, interactive and rich soundwise app I played with on a collaborative level. The musical landscapes shaped on the go were so stimulating for the ears and the effects also were deep. And musicians there would share sounds created with instruments they had home. All that integrated with the IOS apps and effects: a true blessing. And the looper was so cool! 👍

  • I am glad to hear this project is live again. Hopefully this will mean a continuation of app development and improvement. I loved the concept of Endlesss but the lack of a landscape mode on iOS was a real problem.

  • It's always interesting that people liked Endlesss, as whenever I tried it I thought it was a bit clunky, sluggish, didn't have a great workflow and I generally just didn't rate it highly compared to the cream of iOS apps. When it's resurrected, though, I'll give it another go and see if I get on with it better! I'm totally willing to accept that I may be the problem! :D

  • Be great if you could run your own server this time out, maybe keep their overheads down as well…

Ah now I see. :) Okay, terrible file names I can deal with. 😂

  • Been playing with the Beta.. its still amazing 😉

  • It’s got a unique workflow and maybe not for everyone. Riffs are produced through multiple passes of destructive audio layering. In my experience the output of this process is very different than other tools. The collaborative angle is also unique - you can remix others’ creations and play with others in real time.

    Anything different or carbon copy?

  • yes exactly the same. nothing noticibly

The thing is that having the exact same name for loops (which are not the exact same) separated only by different folder names can make certain workflows / daws cry. Cant bring them into Cubasis for that reason. It doesn't export tracks, only up to four bar loops. Ehh hard to describe but when trying to just natively export a jam into a daw some want separate file names. Renaming dozens/hundreds of loops in dozen/hundreds, of folders, not fun. But yah if you just want the occassional whatever loop as a springboard it is ok. I like the sound and feel of a long jam though and editing that, not just landing on a couple 'golden loops', which many did too, hence one of the reasons why ishani made tool.

So hosting plugins (and working as a vst plugin) still works? I heard chatter that may be lost for a time.

  • That's great news! I really hope someone can do the same for NS2.

Yes, plug-ins working fine.. haven't found any issues so far..
