The Foothills of Happiness
Who can resist that classic combination of the sounds of Nepalese farmers tending their Mules in the foothills of the Himalayas and the Moog Model D Synthesiser ? Enjoy… 😊

Really nice. You have a knack for composing strong, catchy melody and variation. This will be in my head all night.
Cheers Paul ( @Paulieworld ) … I was unusually happy with the little riff on this one 😊
I’d had it in my mind since November last year but only just got round to finishing it off 🤔
Those foothills seem awfully distant.
Goddamn good track! What did you use beside the Moug?
are you in Nepal right now?
Keep your pecker up @MrStochastic ✌️
Left and right ‘guitars’ were GeoShred Gong Lead through a few effects @Nighur . Arping was Roli Noise, Bass was BeatHawk, percussion Roli Drums and twiddly whistle bits were Respiro.
Ha ha not quite @Phil999 , the sounds were from the BBC Sound Effects web site… 1000’s of free sounds, highly recommended 👍
ah yes. Very good resource, the BBC Sound Effects.
Certainly takes me to a happy place. I hope we’ll hear more of the twin leads - much more inventive than Wishbone Ash.
We’re on sticky ground with this one Andy ( @AndyHoneybone ) as Argus is one of my favourite albums.
Throw down the sword with Turner and Powell on guitars is up there as one of my favourite tracks. I do appreciate the comment though 😊🙏
Really nice arrangement and melodies. I found the drums detracted from the piece somewhat.
Thanks for the listen and comment @Lavernian_Garden , on further listening the drums do sound a bit persistent and a little unsubtle… the same has been said about me many times 😊
And there's the title of your next piece! 🤓
This is really pretty … (check out this song “altitudes” by Jason Becker , I think you’d like it ) nice work
😁 @MrStochastic
Many thanks @yellow_eyez . I’d never heard of JB… amazing guitarist, sad story!
I have very much enjoyed. So catchy. Great work Tony.
🙏 @ecou
I nearly missed this one - very nice!
(Going to listen to some Wishbone Ash tonight. Saw them at the Marquee many, many years ago - good times.)
You know, I've never thought of combining Nepalese Mules and Moogs but as they say on these cookery programs, "It works!"
. Love the ambience and the whimsical vibe here - it's almost binaural! Maybe the opening titles theme from "My Himalayan Hideaway - A Hermit's Tale" ...
Next unexpected combo ... curlews and death metal
