Need Help with Behringer Uphoria 204hd
I am new to Loopy Pro and on my second day using it. I was trying first with iPhone and then switched to iPad.
I was able to connect U204hd to Loopy Pro. To test I only got one loop. Also only one channel on the mixer (1+2) mastering is on, and selected all 4 output channels.
I do see my voice on the mic channel and the master out on Loopy mixer.
But when I mute mic I can still hear sound on main-out-1+2
I added prefader reverb, but there is no effect.
U204hd is working fine, when I connect this to Mainstage. I know hardware is working.
I saw few YouTube videos, audio interface setup seems very simple but I do not get the expected audio out.
Any advice is highly appreciated.
Thank you.

This sounds like you might have direct monitoring turned. What happens if no app is open?
Thank you @espiegel123 for taking time to respond.
Here is a picture of my U204hd
I can hear mic input on main out without the app. But I have to change the mix knob to 12, not on PB.
When I connect this setup to Mainstage, I can get effects with MIX knob on PB.
I don’t know the details of that interface/mixer and whether it needs to be configured via software. If your mic’s output is heard with no app running, it sounds like you need to reconfigure how you have it set-up
Behringer interfaces on ios have the very nasty behavior that they mute the ios system volume when connecting them. Did you try to rise up the ipad volume? 😉
They got me twice with this, with a 204 and 404. It drove me crazy and i was searching for one hour before i figured it out 😅
Hey @Crabman you are spot on.
I was reading another thread about this behavior with Behringer on; https://forum.loopypro.com/discussion/15111/anyone-using-behringer-u-phoria-umc204hd-interface-with-ipad
and I saw your post there too.
Yes, issue resolved when I use iPad vol+.
Thank you for your advice.
Do you have any tips for free, good limiter, and other plugins?
I'm still testing, so I do not want to go with so many paid plugins now.
I plan to use Loopy Pro's mixer and 2 mics for my next charity event. For now, I can use the built-in EQ, reverb, and compression.
I wish Loopy Pro would release a limiter plugin soon.
Mainly for mixing etc?
You can‘t go wrong with anything Tonebooster. Pretty cheap and high quality.
Fabfilter stuff is awesome but 3,4x the prices for comparable TB plugins.
EDIT: i saw the“free“ too late. 😉 Not sure, most free stuff i know (not much) is very limited.
Loopy's in-built Dynamics effect serves well enough for me as a limiter. I'd surely use something else for a finished track, but up until then it's fine.
The Dynamics plug-in can be a limiter. It can be a compressor. It is a matter of the settings.
I’m not sure if I understand the issue as I’ve never tried loopy pro. But, following some of the things you said,
If you’re using a prefader send to effects and the effect return is going to the main out, then you may still hear that even if the channel is muted. It would depend where the signal gets tapped in a typical mixing scenario.
If you have the knob on PB, that is letting you hear whatever is coming out of your DAW, and the latency will depend on your settings, but if you have that knob anywhere else you will be blending the live signals from the inputs, regardless of any software running, so even if you mute the channel in loopy pro you’d hear the input in your headphones/ outputs.
I’m not sure if that answered your question or not, but if I sort of answered, let me know what I misunderstood about the situation so I can give you a better answer. Live sound is my primary field so the things I mentioned are all standard signal flow things, but it can be confusing if you’re new to it and I’m happy to help if I can do so.
Is nothing connected to the insert sockets at the back of the interface ? These always get the output of the Mic preamps and can route a signal back into the interface as well.
Thank you @Crabman, @wim, @espiegel123, @mrufino1, @catherder for your awesome tips.
Will try what guys recommended.
Im so thrilled with iPhone running loppy pro, and all other devices can be connected to portable PD powerbank, I do not need AC power.
