AUM midi buss

Hi,
I recently used midi busses for the first time for octave switching and would like to expand on this technique.
In one AUM session I have three instances of Korg Module Pro each on its own midi channel. My AirTurn midi foot controller sends out sustain on cc64 on channel one. Is there a way to send the cc64 to all three using midi busses.
If not what is a good way to do this?
It seems simple but I am stumped.
Thanks,
Bruce

  • What are you trying to midi map ?

Is the parameter not available via aums midi mapping.

Aum does actually let you map with cc64, where as other hosts its allocated to sustain.

    However.

It might cause there to be sustain plus a mapping.

  • Thanks for getting involved sigma99.

I will try to explain a little more clearly.
The foot switch is sending out cc #64 on midi channel one. This is fine for the instance of Korg Module Pro on midi channel one.

However the instances of Korg Module Pro on midi channels 2 and 3 of course do not respond to this sustain signal. If I include midi channel 1 on these AUM slots they will have notes that I do not want there.

I need to convert the cc64 on midi channel one to midi channels 2 and 3 and send them to the correct instances.

    Thanks,
    Bruce

I am experimenting with mxf convert. I think it is working by having two instances one converting to channel 2 and one converting to channel 3.
I though I could do both conversions in one instance but could not figure that out.

Tested for about an hour. This technique works well. In multitimbral sessions I am able to use sustain (or any cc) on whichever AUM channels desired.
And when the channels all have the same preset on multiple AUM channels but from different midi channels I can make them respond or not.

    Thanks for your help,
    Bruce
